LOL! I actually missed the comeback. I dvr'd the game and was watching it late still unaware of the outcome and got so irritated with them I shut it off and immediately erased it from existence with about a minute left in the game. Oops...

Oh well. That being said I really got sick of the offensive zone turnovers last night. Can't even recount how many times they would get set up and seemingly control the puck in the offensive zone only to turn it over just before or just as they were on the brink of actually getting a shot away.

This team will not survive as a one trick pony. They are going to need contributions from the 2nd and 3rd lines to be successful. I'm sure i'm being overly critical on Greenway, but there isn't a whole lot that has impressed me about his overall play so far. I think he looks a bit on the lazy side. Many times seeing him just gliding around waiting to react versus making something happen. I don't know what happened to Nino, but aside from a few brief moments of the game, he looked less than ordinary.

It's really unfortunate that they don't have some better quality complimentary players but i guess that's what you signed on for when you run your cap up to the ceiling for a handful of players.

Not so sure the Wild won this one as i think it was more of the Hawks let one slip away. I'm glad they got the win, but I just didn't like what i saw from this squad for the majority of the game last night.

Pretty weird comeback for sure but this is probably what it took to get this team going. It is early so I would not crucify them yet, lol. Need secondary scoring for sure and Granny needs to get it going. Go Wild in Minnesota!

Gump, I have been having he same feeling about Greenway so far. But it does seem like he is at least always in the middle of something going on. I wonder if because of his size it appears to just be coasting. I will say I think it is kind of funny to see him and Staal on the ice at the same time, as I think they both use some of the longest sticks on the ice.

I think the combo of Zucker-Staal-Greenway should stay together. During most of the 3rd period and on, I really wasn't sure what the other lines were, as BB shorten his bench and seemed to randomly throw players out there. I would swear, a couple of times, there were 3 defensemen and 2 forwards on the ice!

So if that line above stays intact, I guess the 2nd line should be Parise-ErikssonEk-Granlund, with the 3rd being Nino-Koivu-Coyle. I am really disappointed at the showing of JT Brown so far also. Along with Fehr and Hendricks. My guess is we will be seeing Matt Read soon enough. Maybe even Kunin, who can replace Coyle on the 3rd line. Maybe a 4th line of Foligno-Coyle-Read might work. Hopefully, the hook is swift this year. Dropping Brown down to the AHL, and bringing up Read and Kunin would leave the Wild at about $1.550 in cap space.

I coudn't see the entire play clearly, but it looked like Staal's long stick could have cost him that goal he scored as it looked like he tripped the defender in the slot with it just before he took the pass from Zook.

Agree with you on those line combos. As far as JT is concerned, I also was not overly impressed with his play.
